NexGen

NexGen

NexGen which is organized by NEXUS, a club under the CSE Vertical. Hackathon is a 24-hour, hypercompetitive hackathon where we provide PES students with a platform to brainstorm, communicate, and connect with other students in order to learn about new technologies and complete an outstanding product as a team. We will begin by selecting 40 teams (teams of four students from all streams and campuses), representing a variety of domains and technologies, based on their project ideas, the metrics for which we will determine. Following that, teams will take part in the hackathon and fully execute their concept. The organising team will run a few enjoyment-focused mini-games and events during the hackathon. The event will also feature a live band. To finish their different projects, the teams will get assistance from mentors and subject matter experts. The teams will compete against one another, and following a rigorous evaluation process, the mentors choose 10 teams.

ProblemThemes

Sponsor Track - Personalized Learning

Develop an intelligent personalized learning platform that dynamically generates tailored question papers based on user-specified criteria such as subject, difficulty level, and language preference. The platform should provide answer suggestions and learning support to aid students in understanding the reasoning behind the answers, fostering engagement, and enhancing subject mastery through regular practice with well-structured assessments.

Sponsor Track - Speech Coach

Speech Coach is a hackathon theme designed to empower individuals to become more proficient and confident speakers. Participants will innovate solutions aimed at assisting individuals in various aspects of communication, such as preparing for stage talks by mimicking speech patterns, simulating speaking to larger audiences to enhance confidence, identifying specific areas for improvement through discussions, and providing targeted speech practice with iterative feedback. The theme fosters the development of systems that cater to the diverse needs of speakers, ultimately helping them refine their communication skills and excel in public speaking engagements.

Generative AI

Generative AI is about teaching computers to create new things on their own. In this hackathon, you can work on making AI that writes technical documents, answers customer questions, creates realistic images from blurry ones, or even composes music. It's all about teaching computers to be creative!

Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This theme focuses on solving challenges in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management. Participants tackle real-world issues like predicting product demand, optimizing delivery routes, maintaining delivery fleets, and monitoring temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments. These solutions aim to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Social Services

In this hackathon, participants tackle societal challenges using technology. They can create solutions like a platform connecting surplus food to charities, an AI system translating sign language at events, tools to combat human trafficking online, or an AI-powered waste management system for cities. These innovations aim to improve lives, promote inclusivity, and address pressing social issues.

Open Innovation

In the Open Innovation theme, people work together to come up with new and creative ideas. It's all about sharing thoughts and skills to solve tricky problems. By teaming up and thinking outside the box, participants can make big breakthroughs that help everyone. It's about working together, sharing ideas, and making cool stuff happen!
